Your plot from space, one clear picture per quarter
Drop a pin on the plot you are paying for. Your browser fetches the Sentinel-2 images of that spot from the public archive, checks the cloud mask at your pin and keeps the first clear picture of every quarter for the last two or three years.
One pixel is 10 m by 10 m. You will see land being cleared, platforms, roads and large roofs. You will not see floors, walls or finishes, and a quarter can be missing when the clouds never left your pin. A picture is not proof that a payment milestone was reached.
1. Drop a pin
Tap the map where the plot is, or paste coordinates or a Google Maps link.
Map © OpenStreetMap contributors. Your pin goes to our scene finder, rounded to about 10 m, and that answer is cached for a day so a repeat view is fast. It is not linked to you or saved anywhere else. The images themselves come straight from the public Sentinel-2 archive on AWS to your browser.
2. What the satellite saw
Drop a pin to start.
At your pin
Waiting for at least two clear quarters.
Brightness and greenness are averaged over the 50 m square at the pin (25 pixels) from the true-colour image. Haze, sun angle and the season move them a little, so only large changes mean something.
How this works
What happens when you drop a pin
- Our scene finder asks the public Earth Search catalogue for Sentinel-2 scenes over your point, per quarter, least cloudy first.
- Your browser reads a few kilobytes of each scene's cloud mask (20 m) at your pin and skips scenes with cloud, shadow or no data within 150 m.
- For the first clear scene it reads the true-colour image (10 m) around the pin: about 1 to 3 MB per quarter, straight from AWS.
What it cannot tell you
- Whether a slab, a floor or a roof is finished: one pixel is 10 m wide.
- Whether the plot you pinned is the plot in your contract. Check the certificate and the coordinates with your agent.
- Anything that happened between two pictures and was covered again.
